lucky shot

yesterday we were suppoused to be all geared up playing for the raffles league. however the weather did not approve of our plans and deemed the matches post-poned. so today we had to play one extra match. or so we thought. it was to our disadvantage. our best players were off for competitions and others were all lazy sleeping at home or gaming...and yes i am talking about you wilson. we had one player short for the match but that didnt stop us from trying not to let in too many goals. we fought hard but pls dun expect to see presentable results. it was quite impossible given the fact that we were such a weak team. but nonetheless everyone pulled through and showed much team spirit and sportsmanship. the first match was to start at 1.10 and we were playing against 3b. i must admit that although their indian foreign scholar was some violent player, he was good. ok fine average if not for his pushing. after talking about that guy of cos you know who scored... yes he scored in the first half. i wasnt in my top form then. after all i have abandon soccer for more than 3 months. i were to play like my previous self we might have had a greater chance.

ok but too bad for 3b we were not prepared for a defeat. in the second half we got a indirect free kick. daniel took the free kick and gave us the equalising goal. there goes for their victory. it was now a draw. having bringing the match to a draw, we pushed back into a tight defense and did some time wasting until the match was over. i not really a pure emoing type. not the kind who cuts his hand, throw temper, get all violent. i just sat in the corner thinking about how badly i played. after emoing for 15 minutes, i went off to play soccer awhile more before our next match.

it was against 3q. 3q was an average class. my friend was in it and some how it was a disadvantage for both sides. and yet again we conceded the first goal. it was the dumbest goal i have ever seen. our defender trapped the ball in front of the goal and jsut stoned there. the opposing striker of cos took the opportunity to make a quick goal. he casually bumbed into the defender and rammed the ball into the goal. dotz even yuho had no time to react. ok here comes the dumb part. after the emoing i somehow played much better than the previous match. i wasnt everywhere defending but i was sticking around my turf. no one got through for that few sweet minutes. we managed to push into the opposing half of the field. we pulled off a throw in and i was to take the throw. ok here it starts. i was about to throw and when i heard my friend trying to trick me into tossing the ball to him, i instinctively passed him the ball. he controlled the ball and was passing to his teammate when i realized my mistake. i intercepted and move towards the goal. i believe i was about30-40Ms from the goal. around midfield. i took a random shot at the goal. and i actually though it would go in at first. it curled up and bounce on the turf. i thought that that was it . but then the ball kept bouncing and bounced between the keepers 'embrace' and went into the goal. still bouncing away... ok nothing to be proud of since its just fluke. sometimes miracles do happen dont they?
ya...its very true. in fact the miracle actually did not happen to us but to them... they scored another goal in the second half of the match. as the saying goes, bad things happen in threes. ok... i guess this needs no further elaboration. lols we conceded 4=1. it was just too bad since our keeper lost his form. he used to be good. damn good i must say. unfortunately his hands failed him today but i dont think it will happen again. but the again bad things happen in threes...
